To change directives of PHP configuration

In the PegasoWeb servers, PHP works as module of Apache, reason why to change directives of PHP configuration .htaccess is necessary to do it by means of directives php_value in the file of the directory in which application PHP is contained.

In servers in whom PHP works in way cgi, it is necessary to modify the file php.ini. The advantage to execute PHP in way module of Apache is that scripts PHP is executed much more fast and without imposing unnecessary load in the servant.

For example, to increase the size of the files that can be raised the servant (by defect 2MEGABYTE), we would add to the following line to the file .htaccess:

<IfModule mod_php5.c>
php_value upload_max_filesize 10M
php_value post_max_size 10M

<IfModule mod_php7.c>
php_value upload_max_filesize 10M
php_value post_max_size 10M

The file .htaccess is simply a text file without format, that you can create in Windows with the notepad, with the name .htaccess (point htaccess). Normally public_html keeps directly in the directory, or some subdirectory of the same. The directives contained in a file .htaccess are inherited automatically to the subdirectories.
